Sometimes life is crazy.
And sometimes, truth be told, I can get a little crazy.
But we don’t have to be crazy alone.
I feel like one of the biggest tools of Satan is to keep us all locked away in our crazy closets, with the lights turned off, and our souls straining to whisper…something….anything.
What if it was ok to turn on the lights and say “I don’t have it all together.” ?
What if we could see our neighbor in her yoga pants and spit-up stained shirt and offer a safe place of encouragement and understanding instead of criticism or condemnation, or worse, indifference?
What if we, as Believers in Jesus Christ, could journey together? Messines included.
The Bible says:
- “How GOOD and PLEASANT it is for brothers to dwell TOGETHER in unity.” Psalm 133:1
- “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is ALONE when he falls and has not another to lift him up!” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
- ” But if we walk in the LIGHT as He is in the LIGHT, we have fellowship with ONE ANOTHER, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7
We weren’t meant to live this life alone, discouraged, hiding. God is LIGHT, and in Him is no darkness at all ( 1 John 1:5). When we peel back the layers of our soul, get honest and deal with our sin, Christ’s blood can have it’s sanctifying work in us. Hallelujah! I know I sure need some work done deep down in my soul!
So, I invite you to step into this safe place to be honest. Honest about your struggles and honest about how amazing Christ is in your life. Because sometimes we need to be crazy honest about sin, and crazy grateful about complete forgiveness. Sometimes we need to share that we are crazy shaking with fear that has an icy grip on our souls, as well as how God just intervened in our life in a crazy miraculous way.
My hope is that God will be glorified, and His name known, when we willingly do our crazy lives together.
Won’t you join me in stepping into the light? I promise it won’t be such a scary place if we do it together. 😉
